UTS Recovers a Record $4.5 Million for Clients in 2021

UTS set a record in 2021 with $4.5 million recovered for clients.

Our audit services are so effective because we evaluate every charge on two parameters:

  • Is the charge accurate? (The correct amount based on the carrier’s agreement.)
  • Is the charge valid? (The carrier performed the service paid for.)

UTS audit specialists investigated 22% of the freight invoices we processed last year. This is up from our long-term average of 19% and reflects how freight invoices have become increasingly complex.

Our audit specialists go the extra mile to validate charges. For instance, they cross-reference charges against the bill of lading and original shipment entry. They also research product descriptions and connect them back to the applicable NMFCs.
